A reporter learned from Nanjing Customs that, as an important outcome of the China–Central Asia Summit, the China–Central Asia Trade Facilitation Cooperation Platform—set up in Nanjing, Jiangsu—has been in operation for one year since its launch. During this period, more than 40 institutions from Central Asian countries and Chinese and foreign enterprises have moved in, and over 600 cross-border e-commerce enterprises that have filed with customs are operating online. The platform has effectively boosted Jiangsu’s trade with Central Asia. Since its launch, Jiangsu’s cumulative imports and exports with Central Asian countries have totaled nearly 40 billion yuan. Exports are mainly electromechanical products such as automobiles, electrical and industrial equipment, and home appliances, accounting for more than 70% of the total export value. Major imports include energy and mineral resources, as well as high-quality agricultural and food products, adding economic and trade momentum to the joint construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
