Iranian Speaker: The Strait of Hormuz should be jointly managed by Iran and Oman.

Golden Finance reported on July 3 that, according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency on July 3, the chairman of Iran’s Islamic Consultative Assembly, Qalibaf, said that the Strait of Hormuz should be jointly administered by Iran and Oman that day. Qalibaf made the above remarks when meeting with Iraq’s parliamentary speaker, Halbousi. When discussing the management of the Strait of Hormuz, Qalibaf said that the memorandum of understanding recently signed with the United States has already set out that the Strait of Hormuz should be jointly administered by Iran and Oman. He said that Iran is currently soliciting the views of Persian Gulf coastal countries, including Iraq, on this matter. (Xinhua)
