A while ago, a friend asked me, "Wang, I only have 6000 yuan, I want to try cryptocurrency, what should I do?"
I told him: This amount is neither too much nor too little. In the crypto world, it's right on the dividing line — enough for training, but never use it for gambling. At the exchange rate, it's only about 400 dollars, and this small amount can't be magnified by luck, but by rhythm.
He said: Okay, tell me directly what to do.
I said: Don't immediately think about multiplying the amount ten times, because that will make your first step wrong. I had him divide the money: 400 dollars into 4 parts, each time only use 100 dollars as a cost for error. If he loses that 100 dollars, stop, wait for the next round, and don't rush to recover the loss.
When entering, don't rush, wait for a clear point. Either during a market panic crash, or at the start before acceleration, find these positions and enter. Open a trade with 100 dollars, set leverage less than 10 times, don't be greedy, the first goal is not profit, but survival.
He asked me: How much profit in the first trade to be considered a winner?
I said: Profit or loss doesn't really matter. What matters is whether you followed the correct process. If the direction is right and it rises by 30% to 50%, take some profit first, and don't think about taking everything from start to finish. Let the remaining position move freely, wherever it goes.
He said: Isn't this like gambling?
I said: Gambling relies on guessing, we rely on rules. Many people die because of — they win a little and run, lose and then hold on. You do the opposite: when you win, let the profit run; when you lose, leave decisively. This is trading.
He really followed this method in one round, and raised the 100 dollars to over 200 dollars. Though it's not much, the process became smooth. I told him: Repeat this process, don't rush, round after round. If you execute it without mistakes in three rounds, it's possible that the 400 dollars could rise to 2000 or 3000 dollars.
But there's a condition — you must not lose control.
When he really reaches that number, I asked him to do one thing: withdraw all the principal, and leave the profits inside to continue playing. Many people don't do this step, and in the end, they give everything back, not because of bad luck, but because the market gave you a chance, and you returned it again.
He later told me: I feel like I'm no longer afraid when I lose, because the principal was withdrawn early.
This place, the crypto world, never lacks opportunities, but lacks people who can control themselves.
