Ironwood has been delayed. Upgrades for privacy coins are always this difficult, with exchanges and mining pools unable to keep up. But that infinite minting vulnerability is frightening to think about. Even though there's no evidence it was exploited, Zcash's privacy features make it impossible to prove its innocence. This trust dilemma is truly unsolvable.

CoinJie.com news: Zcash Shielded Labs said the Ironwood upgrade may be delayed because exchanges, wallets, and mining pools need more time to complete the migration. The upgrade is intended to replace the Orchard privacy pool. A previously discovered vulnerability could, in theory, allow the creation of unlimited fake ZEC. Developers said there is no evidence that the vulnerability was exploited, but Zcash’s privacy design means it is impossible to fully prove that fake coins were never minted.
