🪙 OUSD Launches. Another Stablecoin or Something Bigger?
When I hear about a stablecoin like OUSD I pay attention. I do this because stablecoins are actually useful in the world of crypto. They help with trading and moving money around.
So when OUSD launches I do not think about whether it will go up in value. I think about what problem it solves. This is what people who trade should think about.
If OUSD can offer ways to make money be more open about what it does work well with other systems or help people use their money more efficiently it could become a big player. In the world of crypto being useful is what matters in the run. This is especially true for stablecoins, where people need to trust them.
This is the thing about OUSD.
If a stablecoin is successful people will want to hold onto it. More people using it means more money moving around. That can help the whole system grow.
There are already a lot of stablecoins out there.
This is the problem.
Stablecoins need to be trusted. They need to have money behind them. If they are not open about what they do and if they do not have enough money moving around they can fail. People have seen this happen to stablecoins so they are careful.
This is the not good thing about OUSD.
I am not really interested, in the launch of OUSD. I want to see what happens next.
Does it get used a lot away?
Do other systems start to work with it?
Do people want to use it on their own?
These are the things that matter.
My thought is that starting a stablecoin is not hard.
The hard part is getting people to trust it.
In this world trust is the most important thing.
What do you think. Can OUSD become a stablecoin or is it too late to join the market?
