According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on July 3, Cointelegraph reported that an anonymous Bitcoin holder requested a New York court to dismiss a lawsuit. The lawsuit sought to claim ownership of 39,069 long-dormant Bitcoin addresses. The defendant argued that Bitcoin addresses are merely on-chain addresses and are not legal entities, thus cannot be sued. The report also noted that even if the court ruled in favor of the plaintiff, without the private keys, it would be impossible to actually transfer these Bitcoins.
