🇷🇺 RUSSIA SAYS THE DIGITAL RUBLE IS STILL ON SCHEDULE

Look, the plan hasn't changed. Russia's central bank says it's still aiming for a September 1 rollout, just like they promised last year. No surprise announcement. Just sticking to the calendar.

Honestly, this is the part people usually ignore. Announcing a date is easy. Getting banks, payment systems, and regular people to actually use it without everything breaking in weird little ways... yeah, that's the hard part.

I know what you're thinking. "Another government digital currency. Cool." Maybe. Or maybe it's just another giant IT project where everyone smiles at the press conference and the engineers quietly pray nothing catches fire on launch week.

We'll see soon enough. September isn't that far away. That's when the real test starts, not the press release.

The launch is only the beginning. The real question is whether people will actually choose to use the digital ruble.

$NEWT could have a role in that emerging market.

Governments can set deadlines. Users decide whether a digital currency actually gains traction.

Curious to see how smoothly this rollout goes. Large-scale financial systems rarely have a perfect first day
