CoinWorld News: South Korea's Vice Minister of Science and ICT stated that the Korean government is strategically reexamining the construction of its own AI foundational models. The government will push forward large-scale projects centered on AI infrastructure, physical AI, and autonomous model capabilities. This year, South Korea has increased its AI budget to 9.9 trillion KRW, three times that of last year, aiming to rank among the top three AI powerhouses globally. The government plans to expand AI data center construction, with a target of 8.4 gigawatts of data center capacity by 2029 and an additional 10 gigawatts by 2035. Meanwhile, the government has set a goal to become the global leader in physical AI by 2030 and to advance the "AI for All" project, enabling all citizens to access AI services.
