I saw someone say that restaking is like a nesting doll—doll within doll, doll within doll. My first reaction was actually… then why don’t I just not participate? But my hands got itchy—I was afraid of missing out. So last time I chased a hot trend, and once I jumped in, the Gas fee was high. I hadn’t even touched the principal yet, and I was already losing money on fees.

Later, I figured it out. Hot trends rotate faster than the subway. With my “Gas-allergic” constitution, I simply can’t catch the train. So now I’ve set a hard rule for myself: when a new narrative comes out, let it run for two weeks first. After the Gas fees go down, and when the discussion section isn’t packed with so many “it’s definitely going to pump” posts, then I’ll consider whether to go in and take a look.

To put it simply: if I don’t chase the first wave, I might make less, but I’ll definitely get slashed less. Anyway, my money isn’t exactly blown in by the wind. Nesting dolls or not—I’ll first make sure to save on the fees.
