Open Standard Pitches Open USD Reserve Sharing Amid CLARITY Yield Fight

Open Standard announced Open USD with a reserve-sharing model and a partner list that includes more than 140 businesses. The stablecoin would let businesses mint and redeem at no cost, while partners receive reserve earnings minus a small management fee. Section 404 of the Senate Banking Committee's Digital Asset Market Clarity Act draft would restrict yield tied to payment stablecoin balances for restricted U.S. users. Open USD has no live supply or reserve attestations yet, and it is expected to launch later in 2026.
