ME News, July 3 (UTC+8), Evercore ISI stated, "Employment data has returned to normal, and the Federal Reserve will still focus on inflation." Economists believe that the Federal Reserve will view the weak June employment data as hiring data returning to normal levels after unexpectedly strong growth in previous months. They said: "Some believe this report significantly reduces the likelihood of an interest rate hike this year. We do not fully agree with this view." Santander analyst Stephen Stanley also concurred with this perspective. He stated: "Inflation data will determine the Federal Reserve's course of action." He believes that the June employment report may "slightly" alter the views of Federal Reserve officials, but he expects that most policymakers still consider the labor market stable. "There has been a considerable overreaction in financial markets, including a reduction in the likelihood of an interest rate hike this year. I believe the latter is an inappropriate response to this report." (Jin Shi) (Source: ODAILY)
