CoinWorld News, Wu learned that Sei Labs has released Giga Whitepaper v2, adding new privacy and fairness designs, reducing the finality target of Giga's Autobahn consensus protocol from 400 milliseconds to below 250 milliseconds, while maintaining a throughput of 200k+ transactions / 5 gigagas per second. The new whitepaper introduces the Sedna private transaction layer and a deterministic transaction ordering mechanism to provide pre-execution privacy, MEV resistance, and censorship resistance. Sei Labs stated that the Giga upgrade is progressing, with subsequent development including a complete transaction fee mechanism, Autobahn consensus upgrade, and new tokenomics for the Sei token.
