This move by Musk is so classic. Tesla puts up the money, SpaceX takes control, and the Starlink team directly parachutes into the chip factory. They call it a joint venture, but it's really just a side project for SpaceX, right?

Musk's $55 billion chip plan accused of "taking over the nest"
CoinWorld news reports that Terafab, a $55 billion chip factory in Texas, is a joint venture between Tesla and SpaceX, but is actually led by SpaceX. The project’s overall head, Federspiel, is also Starlink’s product director; his team of 34 is mostly made up of people from Starship/Starlink. Tesla has only two direct reports, while key members are largely at SpaceX or poached from Intel. Tesla provides massive funding yet struggles to control the overall situation. SpaceX’s market cap reaches $2.25 trillion, and the two giants have almost no boundaries in assets, talent, and technology.
