Only after the year-end statements came out did I realize three entries were missing—I’m done for.

I used to think that whole “play-to-earn” thing in chain games was pretty appealing, but now that inflation’s kicked in and studios are bailing out, the coin price is dropping like a waterfall. At least I got out early—otherwise I wouldn’t even be able to sort out *my taxes*, let alone anything else.

Back to the main point: I now pause trading for two days every quarter, specifically to export data, reconcile statements, and tag costs. It’s not that I love studying—last year the tax authorities paid me a visit, and I got scared. If I can save it, I save it: the exchange’s CSV files, on-chain hashes, and even the OTC records from group chats. Anything that can be stored gets stored, with double backups—cloud plus local. Is it a hassle? It’s a hassle. But it’s still way better than losing it at year-end, going crazy trying to comb through a few thousand records.

Anyway, that’s it for now. After I get back from my run, I’ll keep going.
