What you should really stay away from is not people with poor abilities, but those who constantly drain you. What does it mean to be a drain on you? They keep occupying your time, disrupting your emotions, interrupting your rhythm, and exhausting your energy, yet they never create any value. They are often giants in words but dwarfs in action, spending a lot of time discussing, complaining, judging, and fantasizing, but rarely actually taking action. Every time you focus your attention on someone who has nothing to do with your goals and constantly drains you, you are essentially overdrafting your life. Because time can be rearranged, money can be earned again, but once your energy is wasted meaninglessly, it can never be fully recovered. A truly mature life strategy is not about trying to change everyone, but about learning to filter, leaving your limited life resources for truly important people, truly important matters, and a future truly worth investing in.
