After all these years of human evolution, the underlying logic may not be fundamentally different from that dog in the experiment. The dog initially drooled only when it saw food, but after the bell and food were repeatedly paired and reinforced, it eventually reacted to just the sound of the bell. Humans are the same; many of the ideas we think we arrived at through our own reasoning are actually conditioned reflexes trained over a long period. Diamonds equal love, a house equals security, stability equals success — are these truly objective truths, or are they beliefs repeatedly shaped by family, society, and capital? True maturity is not about acquiring more knowledge, but about beginning to question those seemingly self-evident underlying beliefs. Because effort solves execution problems, while beliefs determine direction; if the direction is wrong, the harder you try, the farther you may drift from your goal. This is also why choice is more important than effort: the essence of choice is not about what to choose, but about re-examining why you would make such a choice in the first place.
