U.S. CFTC and the National Hockey League sign a memorandum of understanding to jointly uphold the integrity of prediction markets

ME News message: On May 21 (UTC+8), the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the National Hockey League (NHL) officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The two sides will share information and coordinate in providing prediction markets for professional hockey and related events on exchanges regulated by the CFTC, to maintain fairness and transparency in prediction markets. Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, the CFTC and the NHL each designate dedicated representatives for regular communication, focusing on preventing insider trading, fraud, and other market abuses. The NHL also stated that it has established a multi-layered market monitoring mechanism, and will work with partners to advance integrity assurance efforts. (Source: Foresight News)
