ME News, May 21 (UTC+8), two sources familiar with U.S. intelligence assessments said that Iran has resumed some drone production during the six-week ceasefire that began in early April, indicating that Iran is rapidly rebuilding certain military capabilities damaged by U.S. and Israeli strikes. Four sources said U.S. intelligence shows that Iran's military rebuilding is proceeding much faster than initially estimated. The sources indicated that the reconstruction of Iran's military capabilities, including the replacement of missile positions, launch devices, and key weapon systems production capacity destroyed in the conflict, means that if Trump restarts bombing operations, Iran will still pose a significant threat to regional allies. This also raises questions about the extent to which U.S. and Israeli strikes have weakened Iran's military capabilities over the long term. A U.S. official revealed that while the timing for restarting production of different weapon components varies, some U.S. intelligence estimates suggest that Iran could fully rebuild its drone attack capability within as little as six months. "The Iranians have exceeded all the timelines set by the intelligence community for rebuilding," the U.S. official said. (Jin Shi) (Source: BlockBeats)
