The most annoying thing when waiting in line to buy coffee is someone cutting in front of you, and it's the same on-chain. MEV is essentially bots jumping ahead of you, front-running, sandwiching you, using your transaction as a stepping stone. I used to think it was a technical issue, but now I realize fairness is a luxury on-chain.

When hardware wallets were out of stock, friends were scrambling to find them, and someone panicked and clicked a phishing link, losing their coins. Security awareness—it feels like a hassle in daily life, but you only regret it when something actually happens. Now I'd rather wait an extra two days for delivery than touch any suspicious links.

MEV and user security—one is "cutting in line" at the system level, the other is a trap at your own doorstep. Both are frustrating, but at least you can guard against the latter. That's it for now—eating this on-chain meal, you just get used to it as you go.
