ME News reports that on May 21 (UTC+8), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) announced that its next-generation AMD EPYC (Ryzen) central processing unit codenamed “Venice (Venice)” has officially entered mass production. The chip uses TSMC’s most advanced 2nm process technology and is the first 2nm product in the industry’s high-performance computing (HPC) sector to go into mass production. In addition, AMD also plans to extend the 2nm process used in its data center CPUs to its subsequent new product, “Verano.” (Jin10) (Source: ODAILY)
