U.S. OFAC sanctions Cambodian Senator Kok An and his associated network

ME News reports that on April 24 (UTC+8), the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has added Cambodian Senator Kok An to its sanctions list, stating that he controls multiple "scam compounds" and has also imposed sanctions on 28 individuals and entities in his network.
The related scams use fake investment platforms to lure victims through emotional relationships into transferring crypto assets with promises of high returns, causing millions of dollars in losses to U.S. victims.
