ME News, July 1 (UTC+8), according to PeckShield monitoring, in June 2026, there were 40 major hacking incidents in the cryptocurrency space, with total losses of approximately $75.87 million, down 7.13% month-over-month from $81.7 million in May. The largest loss was the attack on Humanity Protocol, with losses of approximately $31 million; Syscoin Bridge lost about $10 million; JaredFromSubway.eth MEV bot lost about $7.5 million; additionally, Secret Network, Polymarket users, SecondFi, TESSERA, Aztec Bridge, Aztec Connect, and others also suffered losses. Notably, Aztec Bridge and Aztec Connect were attacked within the same month, with combined losses of about $4 million. PeckShield also pointed out that the Humanity Protocol attacker has been actively laundering stolen funds through multiple chains including BTC, Solana, Hyperliquid, and BNB Chain, and there are signs that these funds are mixed with the proceeds from the KelpDAO attacker, suggesting a possible link between the threat actors behind the two incidents.
