Confidence is not a prerequisite for action, but the result of action. Fear often stems from the unknown, and the way to overcome fear is not to convince yourself, but to act despite the fear. Each time you accomplish something you once dared not do, it becomes new evidence that continually reshapes your perception of your own capabilities, ultimately forming true confidence.
