When a person has no resources, early efforts and rewards are often not proportional. Because what truly needs to be accomplished at this stage is not to obtain results, but to build oneself: including both abilities and experience, as well as stability of character, and the faith to face long-term uncertainty. Many people fail not because of insufficient ability, but because before the system is built, they mistake temporary lack of returns for no hope. So-called patience is not giving up, but a cognitive ability: accepting the mismatch in time between effort and reward. To be open-minded is to understand the laws; to endure is to believe in the laws.
