OpenAI expands AI infrastructure goal, reaching 30GW computing capacity by 2030

ME News: On April 24 (UTC+8), OpenAI announced on April 24, 2026 the expansion of its physical infrastructure plan, aiming to achieve 30 gigawatts (GW) of AI computing capacity by 2030 to meet the global demand for accelerated growth of intelligent systems.
Previously in January 2025, the company committed to generating 10GW of computing capacity, and has identified over 8GW of that. The announcement was made via Twitter, accompanied by an image generated by ChatGPT. (Source: InFoQ)
