I’ve been seeing a ton of unlock calendar screenshots—everyone is calculating sell pressure more meticulously than their own mortgage payments. But honestly, the data availability layer is the invisible battlefield—whether on-chain data is fetched in time, whether sequencing is correct, and when finality settles directly affects whether the “real-time” TVL you see is actually real.

Last week, an L2’s block explorer was stuck for forty minutes. I kept refreshing over here, but the sequencing was already messed up over there—I thought it was just my network. By the time the data caught up, the market had already moved, and my position was still stuck.

Now with all this unlock anxiety, everyone is making decisions based on calendars. But what if the data being fed to you is itself “queued up”? Anyway, I’d rather wait for one more confirmation than get fooled by ghost data again.
