CoinWorld news: All three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher on Tuesday, with the S&P 500 and Nasdaq on track for their biggest quarterly gains since 2020, while the Dow is also poised for its best quarterly performance since 2022. Despite ongoing conflict in the Middle East, investors remain optimistic about the economic and corporate earnings outlook. Signs of progress in Iran's ceasefire negotiations have boosted market sentiment, although renewed clashes over the weekend have weighed on the prospects for an agreement. "The first half of this year has far exceeded most people's expectations," said Oliver Pursh, senior vice president at Westport Wealthspire Advisors. "Despite geopolitical turmoil, the U.S. economy is fundamentally sound and corporate earnings are quite strong." Following a strong Q1 earnings season, investors are now focusing on Q2 results due in the coming weeks.
