ME News, on June 30 (UTC+8), Ansem posted on X platform that his past judgment on celebrities participating in crypto projects was overly idealistic. He had assumed they would not "rug" millions of supporters, but this assumption has been proven wrong by reality, and he stated that he will not make the same judgment error in the future. However, Ansem emphasized that he is not a celebrity and has no intention of exiting projects improperly. He believes that Meme coins and narrative tokens may still play a "net positive" role in the crypto market, including attracting new users to the industry, providing speculative liquidity for the market, and reviving market sentiment during the bottom of a bear market. He cited Dogecoin and Bonk as examples, saying that such assets have brought massive user adoption and wealth effects in different cycles. Dogecoin once reached a market cap of $11 billion, while Bonk boosted Solana ecosystem sentiment during the sluggish period after the FTX crash. Ansem also said that he entered the crypto industry in 2017, quit his job as a software engineer in 2021, and currently co-founded the trading app BullpenFi and runs the podcast project MarketBubble. He stated that he has participated in discussions of multiple Meme coins in the past but often faced anonymous accounts using liquidity structures to front-run and then "dump" in reverse, making him a tool for attention. He emphasized that the current project is the first time he has participated with "control over the majority of token supply" and said he will try to find a balance between market attention and industry building.
