CoinWorld News, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) released monthly data on Tuesday showing that U.S. crude oil production rose to a record high of 13.93 million barrels per day in April, driven by higher oil prices due to the war in Iran and increased production efforts by producers. EIA data showed that production increased by 216k barrels per day in April, with New Mexico setting a new record of 2.37 million barrels per day. Texas crude oil production edged up by 36k barrels per day to 5.83 million barrels per day, the highest level since November last year. Texas and New Mexico are both located in the Permian Basin, which accounts for about half of total U.S. crude oil production. Crude oil production in North Dakota, the third-largest oil-producing state, rose to 1.13 million barrels per day, also the highest level since November last year.
