The US OFAC sanctions Cambodian Senator Kok An and his associated network.

ME News reports that on April 24 (UTC+8), the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added Cambodian Senator Kok An to its sanctions list, alleging he controls multiple "scam compounds," and imposed sanctions on 28 individuals and entities within his network. The scams involved fake investment platforms that lured victims through emotional relationships to transfer crypto assets under the promise of high returns, causing millions of dollars in losses to U.S. victims.
