ME News: On May 21 (UTC+8), market analysts said one factor supporting a more hawkish outlook for the Federal Reserve is the improving signals from the labor market. At the Fed's March meeting, the latest data available to officials was the disappointing February employment report. According to the minutes from the March meeting, many officials at the time feared that "labor market conditions appeared susceptible to adverse shocks." However, based on the latest April meeting minutes, by the time of the April meeting, Fed officials had received a more optimistic March report, with most viewing the data as evidence of stabilization. Following the Fed's April meeting, the strong April employment report released earlier this month provided further evidence that the labor market may be stabilizing. (Jin Shi) (Source: ODAILY)
