Why do some people always feel that they have high cognition and deep thoughts, yet never receive feedback in reality?

Because true cognition is not just the ability to explain the world, but the ability to act upon it.
Often, we package our disdain for money, business, and real-world competition as a form of spiritual transcendence, but part of it may essentially be an escape from abilities we have yet to master.
Mature cognition is not about rejecting material things, but about understanding them; not about denying the rules of reality, but about seeing them clearly.
When a person can simultaneously understand thought, wealth, human nature, and the logic of social operations, and is willing to enter reality to practice, verify, and bear the consequences, cognition begins to form a truly positive cycle.
A person with truly profound thoughts may not necessarily pursue wealth, but he usually possesses the ability to acquire wealth; because any cognitive system that can explain the world should ultimately be verifiable to some extent in the real world.
