"The Last Dance"

At three in the morning in Los Angeles, the air was filled with tension and anticipation.
Cristiano Ronaldo stood in the player tunnel, taking a deep breath. This was his last World Cup of his career. His 38-year-old body was no longer young, but his eyes were still as burning as flames.
"Ready?" Pepe patted him on the shoulder.
Ronaldo nodded, his gaze crossing the tunnel to the pitch. In the stands, a little boy wearing a number 7 jersey was waving excitedly. That was himself thirty years ago on the streets of Lisbon watching him play for the first time.
The match began. Colombia's defense was like an iron wall, every attack was neutralized. Ronaldo ran, broke through, and shot with all his might, but fate seemed to be playing a joke — in the 89th minute, his one-on-one chance was saved by the goalkeeper.
The final whistle blew, 1-0. Portugal was eliminated.
Ronaldo knelt on the grass, tears blurring his vision. At that moment, he was no longer the invincible CR7, just an ordinary person whose dreams had not come true.
The little boy in the stands cried because he knew that some farewells are forever.
