🤖 OpenAI just came out with GPT-5.6. It has three models and a new benchmark that is better than anything out there.. Only 20 partners can use it for now.

OpenAI made three models for different uses. The best one is called Sol. It is the powerful model they have made so far. It got a score of 91.9% on a test called Terminal-Bench 2.1. This is better than the best model, which was called Mythos 5. Then there is Terra, which's a good balance between performance and cost.. There is Luna, which is a smaller model that is cheaper and can be used a lot.

The way they priced these models is very smart. The best model, Sol costs the same as the version GPT-5.5. This means that big companies that already use GPT-5.5 do not have to pay more to get the performance. The middle model, Terra is half the price of Sol. This makes it compete with models from Google and Anthropic. The smallest model, Luna is one-fifth the price of Sol. This makes it good for companies that need to use it a lot and do not want to spend much money.

The score of 91.9% on Terminal-Bench 2.1 is very important. This test checks how well the model can do real-world tasks like coding. It is not about understanding language. OpenAI beating the best model, Mythos 5 is a big deal. It shows that OpenAI is serious about making the models.

There is a catch. Because of a rule in the US only about 20 partners can use GPT-5.6 for now. This is not because of any problems but because of the rule. Most companies and users have to wait.

For people who trade cryptocurrency this is interesting. Every time GPT-5.6 is used it runs on computers made by Nvidia. These computers use memory chips from SK Hynix and Micron. This means that the companies that make these chips and the companies that invest in them like Microsoft and Blackrock will do well. The fact that OpenAI made a model that is better than the previous one shows that the companies that invest in artificial intelligence infrastructure will keep growing.

OpenAI released GPT-5.6 the same weekend that Anthropics Mythos 5 was the model. This shows how fast the artificial intelligence race is moving. The difference between the models is now just a few weeks, not years.
