AIMPACT News, May 20 (UTC+8): With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, surging demand for computing power in more scenarios is also affecting the structure of computing power supply. Industry insiders say that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China’s computing power development focused on addressing the shortcomings in scale, and the total computing power has continued to grow. Meanwhile, problems such as an overall tight supply of computing power, regional mismatches between supply and demand, and relatively high usage costs still remain. Revitalizing existing computing power resources and ensuring supply are the primary issues that the development of a computing power network must address. Recently, China’s three major telecom operators have successively rolled out Token package products for both individuals and enterprises, which the industry considers a further sign of the continued advancement of AI popularization. Experts say that in the next stage, computing power development will shift from large-scale construction to a new phase of “balancing construction and use, with efficient operation.” Improving the utilization rate of computing power and enabling efficient scheduling of computing power have become inevitable requirements for promoting the development of the computing power network.
