Wu Blockchain learned that Loopring, an early Ethereum zkRollup project, announced that it will permanently shut down the Loopring DEX starting today. The Relayer has stopped running, and all trading services have been terminated. The team said that, as the first zkRollup project, Loopring ultimately decided to end its services due to a lack of EVM compatibility, insufficient ecosystem adoption, limited business development capabilities, and the delisting of LRC by multiple exchanges in 2026. The official statement said it will publish users’ final asset balances, and after a two-week public disclosure period, it will cover the Gas fees and directly batch return user assets valued at $10 or more to their corresponding Ethereum L1 addresses.
