AIMPACT news: May 20 (UTC+8). With the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the computing power demand that is breaking out across more scenarios is also affecting the computing power supply structure. Industry insiders said that during the “14th Five-Year Plan” period, China’s computing power development focused on addressing weaknesses in scale, and the total computing power continued to grow. At the same time, problems such as overall tight computing power supply, regional supply-demand mismatch, and relatively high usage costs still remain. Revitalizing existing computing power resources and ensuring supply are the primary issues the construction of a computing power network must address. Recently, China’s three major telecom operators have successively launched Token package products for individuals and enterprises, which the industry regards as a further sign of the popularization of artificial intelligence. Experts said that in the next phase, computing power development will shift from large-scale construction to a new stage of “balancing construction and use, with efficient operations”; improving computing power utilization and achieving efficient scheduling of computing power have become inevitable requirements for driving the development of a computing power network.
