ME News: On April 23 (UTC+8), Pyth Network announced a major strategic transformation—its infrastructure will be comprehensively upgraded, and its economic model will shift from token incentives to revenue-driven mechanisms. Under two core proposals (OP-PIP-100 and OP-PIP-103), Pythnet will be gradually phased out within 2026, with the focus moving to the next-generation underlying Lazer. The OIS staking rewards mechanism will be terminated (parameter Y set to 0), but the security slashing mechanism will be retained. Meanwhile, PYTH Reserve has repurchased approximately 12 million PYTH using protocol revenue; commercial products (Pyth Pro, the data marketplace) have become the key drivers of growth. Top prediction markets such as Polymarket and Kalshi have been integrated, and institutional adoption continues to rise. (Source: ODAILY)
