ME News: On April 23 (UTC+8), Pyth Network announced that the Pythnet application chain will be officially retired in late 2026 in accordance with the approved OP-PIP-100 proposal. At the same time, the OP-PIP-103 proposal sets the Oracle Integrity Staking (OIS) rewards distribution rate parameter to 0, indicating the formal termination of the OIS rewards mechanism that was launched at the end of 2024 and has cumulatively attracted about 1 billion PYTH in staking. Pyth Network stated that the OIS staking and slashing mechanisms remain effective, and existing stakers can unstake and withdraw at any time. In the future, the network will rely on Lazer, Pyth Pro, and the data market as its core infrastructure. Since its launch, the PYTH reserve has purchased about 12 million PYTH through the open market. (Source: Foresight News)
