Google restructures AI membership system! Launches hundred-dollar-level Ultra plan and reduces prices, adds free YouTube membership.

On May 20 (UTC+8), according to the AIMPACT Beating monitoring, Google announced at its I/O 2026 conference a major restructuring of its Google AI subscription system (Plus, Pro, Ultra), formally launching a brand-new AI Ultra tier with a starting price of $100/month aimed at developers and tech enthusiasts, reducing the top Ultra monthly fee to $200, and fully rolling down high-value ecosystem rights and benefits such as YouTube memberships and AI agents to all subscription tiers.
The newly added $100/month AI Ultra tier is mainly intended for developers and technical backbones, offering 20TB of cloud storage and providing compute quota 5 times higher than the Pro tier in the Gemini app and the Google Antigravity platform, along with a bundled YouTube Premium personal-tier membership. Meanwhile, the monthly fee for the top-tier AI Ultra subscription is reduced from the original $250 to $200; the compute quota remains 20 times that of Pro, and it also includes exclusive priority experience rights for cutting-edge research features such as the 3D world-building prototype Project Genie.
Users of both Ultra tiers will be among the first to experience Gemini Spark, a 24/7 cloud-based AI agent that automatically runs tasks in a locked-screen state, next week.
To expand market coverage, Google will broadly extend core technologies and lifestyle benefits downward. All subscription tiers (Plus, Pro, Ultra) will be fully integrated with the new-generation large models Gemini Omni and Gemini 3.5 Flash, and in the U.S. will gradually roll out the AI Inbox email butler that can extract to-dos and draft replies, as well as the Daily Brief morning news agent.
For non-AI benefits, YouTube’s ad-free service, which was previously limited to higher-tier members, is also being extended: Pro paid subscriptions at $19.99/month will receive a free YouTube Premium Lite lightweight membership worth $8.99/month.
