ME AI News: Musk has received approval from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) to acquire the startup Mesh Optical Technologies. The company is dedicated to developing data-center optical communications technology. Mesh is developing optical transceivers that use optical signals to transmit and receive information between data centers. The company says that, compared with existing solutions, its technology offers higher energy efficiency and lower latency. Mesh was founded by a SpaceX engineer who previously worked on laser link communication research and development for the Starlink internet satellite system. (Source: Wall Street Insights)
