ME News: On May 20 (UTC+8), since 2026, HYPE—one of the strongest-performing crypto tokens following the Iran conflict—has accumulated gains of over 100%, standing out especially in comparison with Bitcoin. Independent analyst Markus Thielen said that HYPE’s strong performance is mainly due to Hyperliquid’s diversified expansion strategy: the exchange continuously extends cryptocurrency trading into other asset classes, such as traditional financial instruments like oil and SpaceX perpetual contracts, thereby attracting significant capital inflows. This trend shows that crypto exchanges are accelerating their rollout in highly volatile, hotspot-driven traditional financial derivatives markets and gradually increasing the intrinsic value of crypto infrastructure.
