ME AI News: Apple's first touchscreen MacBook Pro is expected to launch between late 2026 and early 2027, equipped with the existing M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, rather than the next-generation M6 series. The new 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will introduce a touchscreen, OLED display, and Dynamic Island interface for the first time, marking the biggest upgrade to the high-end Mac product line since 2021. Apple also plans to skip the M6 Pro/Max and directly advance to the AI-optimized M7 Pro/Max chips, which are expected to debut as early as late 2027. The report states that the M7 series will significantly enhance neural engine, graphics performance, and memory bandwidth to improve local AI model running capabilities, showing that Apple is accelerating its AI hardware ecosystem layout.
