ME News message: On May 20 (UTC+8), the Baojing County police in Hunan Province successfully cracked a cryptocurrency fraud case. In the evening, the victim, Mr. Liu, reported that he was defrauded of 100,000 yuan while purchasing USDT. The Baojing County Public Security Bureau quickly formed a special task force, carried out an investigation overnight, and ultimately identified and arrested the criminal suspect, Shi Mou. The investigation found that Shi Mou, by forging transaction records and posing as a senior “coin dealer,” gained Mr. Liu’s trust, then squandered and concealed the funds. The police precisely analyzed the flow of funds, fixed the evidence, and successfully recovered all of the money that had been defrauded. The recovered 100,000 yuan was fully returned to Mr. Liu. At present, Shi Mou has been taken under criminal coercive measures for suspected fraud, and the case is still under further investigation. (Source: MLion)
