24h Low: $1,512.11
Volume: 328.48K ETH
Turnover: $515.85M USDT
MA5: 1,564.57 / MA10: 1,557.12 / MA30: 1,583.98
Last hourly volume: 2.49K, MA5: 9.66K, MA10: 11.59K
Technical picture
ETH dropped from the $1,692.40 zone to a low at $1,512.11 in the last 24 hours, a 5.9% slide. The current print at $1,551.44 sits under all short MAs.
On the daily timeframe, MAs are stacked bearish with MA7 < MA30 < MA120. A MACD golden cross has formed, yet CCI at -186.4 and WR at -84.6 show deep oversold levels. On the 4H chart, MACD shows a bottom divergence: price made a lower low while momentum did not. This setup hints at a short-term bounce, but the broad trend stays weak.
MA5 1,564.57 and MA30 1,583.98 are overhead resistance. MA10 1,557.12 is the closest pivot. Price is stuck under this cluster.
Support zones:
• $1,512 – $1,520 first hold zone, 24h low area • $1,494 – $1,500 mid support • $1,480 – $1,450 key base, a break below speeds up selling
Resistance zones:
• $1,557 – $1,564 MA10/MA5 cluster, first hurdle • $1,583 – $1,602 MA30 and prior shelf • $1,651 – $1,656 24h high zone • $1,692 – $1,710 and $1,750 main resistances Volume
Volume surged while price fell, a classic “panic selling with high volume” pattern. The drop to $1,512.11 came with the largest hourly candles in the sequence. Buy volume recovered at the low, pushing price back to $1,551. Current hourly volume at 2.49K is well under MA5 9.66K and MA10 11.59K. That tells us the bounce lacks strong appetite so far.
Investor mood
Buyers above $1,650 – $1,700 are at a loss, and the $1,560 – $1,600 band now creates selling pressure. Dip buyers are trying short-term plays. Fear is still high, so rallies meet selling. With volume thin after the flush, $20 – $40 swings are quick.
Points to watch 1. $1,557 – $1,564 is the first reclaim zone. Hourly closes above allow a test of $1,583 and $1,602. Rejection here keeps $1,512 in play 2. Volume confirmation is a must. If price lifts but volume stays under 5K – 6K per hour, the move stays fragile 3. BTC direction is key. If BTC slides, ETH tends to drop harder. If BTC holds, ETH can bounce faster 4. A 4H close under $1,512 opens the door to $1,480 and $1,450 5. Funding for short positions and large liquidations near $1,500 – $1,550 can cause sharp wicks both ways 6. Oversold CCI -186.4 and WR -84.6 can hold for days in a strong downtrend, so a bounce is not a full turn Market analysis
ETH is the top smart-contract Layer1. It powers DeFi, digital collectibles, gaming, and Layer2 rollups. Key metrics to track with price: DeFi TVL, DEX volume, gas use, and active wallets.
In the current macro view, risk appetite is low. Rate policy, inflation data, and ETF flows move ETH fast. With MA7 < MA30 < MA120 on the daily, the trend favors sellers. The MACD golden cross plus 4H bottom divergence give odds for a relief bounce, but broad strength needs daily closes above $1,602 – $1,650 with rising volume.
ETH has a high beta versus BTC. When market mood lifts, ETH often recovers faster. When mood drops, it falls harder. Real use growth in Layer2 and staking helps the base case, but short-term moves are led by liquidity and leverage.
Summary
Trend is down, short-term oversold, bounce risk is up but not confirmed. Closes above $1,564 – $1,583 open path to $1,602 and $1,651. A close below $1,512 lifts dip risk to $1,480 – $1,450. Opening a position without volume confirmation is high risk. Risk control is key.
