Brother Mageji lost heavily😂😂
Started calling out$ETH : The "snail-style issuance mechanism" should be enabled to reduce ETH's issuance rate❗️
Two years of firmly going long, ended up losing at least 200 million💲. If I were Brother Mageji, I'd be numb too.
ETH's issuance model actually has no issues.
The current cryptocurrencies in the crypto space can be roughly divided into three schools:
The fixed-supply school led by BTC: total supply capped, never issued again. Representatives: BTC, O, K! X, TAO.
The burn school led by BNB: fixed total supply, profit buyback➕ and burn, long-term deflation. (Risk: never said it won't be reissued; in the future, the protocol might change or a second coin could be issued). Representatives: BNB, ASTER, HYPE, etc. DeFi.
The burn-to-issue school led by ETH: annual issuance, infinite supply (typically 5%, corresponding to real inflation rate), but with a burning mechanism—the more it's used, the faster it burns. Theoretically, as long as there's usage, the supply shrinks; if usage is high enough, it won't inflate but will deflate, meaning issuance speed can't keep up with wear-and-tear speed. Representatives: ETH, SOL, TON.
During a bull market, the usage of ETH and$SOL these two main chains is extremely high, with issuance speed and burn speed roughly matching, or even achieving deflation.
But once a bear market hits, it's dangerous⚠️
Liquidity dries up, trading volume decreases, chain usage declines, inflation begins, coin prices drop, further decline, and inflation increases.
This is why SOL is currently selling for only 70U, yet its market cap is higher than when it was 200U: SOL's burn rate is lower than its issuance rate—it's inflating.
In the past, ETH had enough usage and didn't worry about this problem. Now… it's the same as SOL: inflation speed is far higher than burn speed.
If this continues long-term, forget 20k; even 200 is possible.
This is also one reason I'm more bullish on$TAO : Like BTC, it has a fixed total supply and will never be reissued.
This positioning eliminates its "usage anxiety" and also avoids the dilemma BNB faces—what to do once the burn target is fully met and how to generate positive news.
The king of AI narratives➕ set by BTC—this is the core reason I believe TAO can reach 100k in the future❗️❗️
Of course, BTC and BNB are still very good targets. For safety, these two have maximum security.
ETH and SOL face too many challengers; it's a bumpy road ahead❗️
