$64 HYPE, do you dare to buy the dip?
BTC fell below $60K, the crypto market is bleeding—but HYPE spot ETFs are defying the trend, pulling in $170 million, and Multicoin just set a $319 price target.
HYPE dropped from its all-time high of $76.9 to $62.
A 22% retracement. Market cap evaporated by over $3 billion.
First thing: BTC is bleeding, HYPE is absorbing capital
On June 26, Bitcoin fell below $60k, dropping nearly 3% in 24 hours.
Bitcoin spot ETFs are experiencing the largest monthly capital outflow in history—$6.4 billion net outflow in the past 30 days.
The Fear & Greed Index fell to 13, extreme fear.
But HYPE ETFs?
Since their launch in mid-May, three HYPE spot ETFs—21Shares' THYP, Bitwise's BHYP, and Grayscale's HYPG—have accumulated net inflows of over $178 million.
16 consecutive trading days of net inflows, with only one day of small redemptions.
Second thing: Multicoin calls for $319, and they're already on board
On June 26, Multicoin released a blockbuster report.
The core argument boils down to one sentence:
The market is severely underestimating HYPE.
Multicoin estimates that by 2028, Hyperliquid's annualized profit could reach approximately $8 billion. At a 20x P/E ratio, that corresponds to a HYPE price of about $319.
Third thing: Annualized $1 billion in fees, 97% used for buybacks
Hyperliquid has its own L1 blockchain, optimized for perpetual contracts. It's the true revenue king in the DeFi derivatives space.
Annualized fee revenue is about $1.06 billion.
Protocol revenue in Q1 2026 was $176 million.
97% to 99% of each transaction fee on the platform is automatically executed by on-chain logic to buy back HYPE from the open market.
As of May 2026, the assistance fund has spent over $1.3 billion in total to buy back HYPE, holding approximately 28.5 million tokens.
Fourth thing: But there's a bomb—countdown to July 6
First the good news: The monthly unlock on June 6 saw the team unlock only about $38 million, far less than the market's feared $680 million. The market held up.
But July 6 is different.
That day is the largest single event on the HYPE token unlock calendar—token releases for core contributors, worth approximately $548 million to $676 million.
At the current price, this selling pressure is equivalent to more than 10% of the current circulating supply.
Technical analysis:
Daily/4H level:
Price retraced about 22% from the ATH of $76.9, currently consolidating in the $62-64 range
50-day moving average at $54.7, 200-day moving average at $37.7, golden cross pattern still intact
A double top pattern on the daily chart, neckline around $55
MACD has turned negative, bears in control short-term
RSI around 65, neutral-bullish, not overbought
Key levels:
Strong support: $60 (psychological level + EMA confluence) → $55-58 → $54 (0.382 Fibonacci, iron floor zone)
Resistance: $70-72 (first barrier) → $75-77 (ATH) → $80-100
For those already holding:
Don't cut losses at $62. But if it bounces to $70-72 with obvious volume decline, reduce half. Set stop loss below $55.
For those with no position looking to buy the dip:
Scale in. Enter 30% near $62. If it drops to $58-60, add 30%. If it falls to $54-55, add another 40%. Set stop loss uniformly below $52. Target first $70-72, then if broken, $80-100.
For those looking to short:
If it bounces to $70-72 with volume declining, short with light position. Target $62→$58. Stop loss above $75.
Position sizing:
Single position no more than 5-8% of total capital.
HYPE has extremely high volatility; a 22% retracement can happen in a flash.
Watch July 6: Volatility will be extreme around the unlock. If the price is already smashed to $54-55 before the unlock, it might be the final dip; if it's still above $65 before the unlock, beware of a "buy the rumor, sell the news" dump.
Can you buy HYPE at $64?
When it was $76, you shouted "HYPE to the moon,"
Now at $64, you ask "can I still buy?"
Are you really investing, or just chasing trends?
HYPE dropped from $76 to $64, a 22% decline.
But ETFs are defying the trend, pulling in $178 million.
Multicoin is heavily buying, calling for $319.
The protocol has $1 billion in annual revenue, 97% used for buybacks.
Every historic correction, someone says "this time is different."
But every time they say it, history repeats—
Only this time, you're no longer on board.
HYPE at $63—
Is it a game for the brave, or another graveyard for retail?
