Abstract generation in progress
ME News, May 20 (UTC+8), zero-knowledge proof infrastructure project Brevis announced the official launch of image provenance tool Brevis Vera, which is now open to all users. Users can capture images using cameras or phones that support the C2PA standard, perform editing operations such as cropping, exposure, and color adjustments in Vera, and generate a zero-knowledge proof file that can be independently verified by any third party in a browser, thereby fully proving the source and processing chain of the image without disclosing the privacy of the source media and editing process. Brevis Vera was first showcased as an interactive concept demonstration in March this year. The full version now introduces zero-knowledge proof mechanisms into the C2PA protocol stack, aiming to serve as a complementary primitive that can be adopted by existing editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, rather than a competing alternative.
