The Brevis image traceability tool, Brevis Vera, is now open, introducing zero-knowledge proofs into image traceability.

ME News, May 20 (UTC+8), zero-knowledge proof infrastructure project Brevis announced the official launch of image provenance tool Brevis Vera, which is now open to all users. Users can capture images using a camera or phone that supports the C2PA standard, perform editing operations such as cropping, exposure, and color adjustment in Vera, and then generate a zero-knowledge proof file that can be independently verified by any third party in a browser, thereby fully proving the source and processing chain of the image without revealing the privacy of the source media and editing process. Brevis Vera was first unveiled as an interactive concept demonstration in March this year. The full version introduced zero-knowledge proof mechanisms into the C2PA protocol stack, aiming to serve as a complementary primitive that can be adopted by existing editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, rather than a competitive replacement.
