Microsoft 365 Copilot upgrades from Q&A to direct document editing, Agent mode officially launched

ME News message. On April 23 (UTC+8), according to Dongcha Beating monitoring, Microsoft announced that Microsoft 365 Copilot has officially launched Agent mode across three applications—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint—becoming the default experience for all subscribers. Previously, Copilot could only answer questions within documents; now it can directly carry out multi-step editing operations on the canvas. In Word, users can draft documents from a blank page and complete rewriting, restructuring, and tone adjustments. In Excel, users can explore data, build analyses, and directly modify formulas, tables, and charts. In PowerPoint, users can create presentations or update existing slides while keeping the company’s template format. This feature is available to subscribers of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Premium, Personal, and Family. (Source: BlockBeats)
